Eco Brooklyn Transforms Manhattan Concrete Jungle into Living Art with Temporary Forest Installation then donates it to NYC Parks.

BROOKLYN, NY – [10/10]

Eco Brooklyn, the innovative Brooklyn-based landscaping and living wall company, is set to redefine Manhattan’s urban landscape through a visionary collaboration with Invisible North for their esteemed client, Birkenstock.

In a bold and ambitious venture, Eco Brooklyn, under the leadership of owner Gennaro Brooks-Church, has embarked on creating one day temporary art installations of lush forests at three iconic Manhattan sites: Flatiron, 410 Lafayette, and the New York Stock Exchange. Specializing in crafting ecosystems out of plants, Eco Brooklyn’s team has meticulously curated over 200 trees and 1,400 plants, transforming these urban locales into vibrant green spaces.

Gennaro Brooks-Church, owner of Eco Brooklyn, played a pivotal role in coordinating the relocation and future of these botanical wonders after the installation. “We believe in the transformative power of nature, even in the heart of the city,” says Brooks-Church. “These temporary forest installations serve as a reminder of the symbiotic relationship between urban living and the environment.”

Highlighting the dual impact of the project, Eco Brooklyn emphasizes not only the creation of temporary art installations but also the crucial role they play in environmental stewardship. Post-event, the trees and plants from these installations will find a new home as they are generously donated to the New York Parks Department, ensuring a lasting legacy of greenery for the city.

“We’re not just creating art; we’re fostering a sustainable future for our urban spaces,” adds Brooks-Church. “The donation of these trees and plants to the Parks Department is a testament to our commitment to giving back to the community and promoting a greener, healthier New York.”

Eco Brooklyn invites the public to witness the magic of these temporary forest installations, urging everyone to embrace the harmony of nature within the city. The project not only underscores Eco Brooklyn’s expertise in creating living art but also reinforces their dedication to environmental responsibility and community enrichment.
