Broken Tub Fiasco
We bought a fiberglass tub off craigslist. When we got the tub home we noticed a crack in it. We hadn’t seen it before. We took the tub back to the seller. After some uncomfortable arguing he reinbursed us $100. So now we have a $250 tub that is pretty useless without fixing the crack.

i would bet that bathtub glazing is ridiculously high in volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
if one has ever experienced tub re-glazing, it’s horrifyingly aweful stuff – but it’s pretty tough.
i’ve decided to get a $20 fiberglass repair kit online and do it myself (or one of my workers). it might not be perfect but it is the path of least resistance. after a week or two the tub will fit right in and i won’t notice it anymore. like they say, don’t sweat the small stuff.

have it reglazed, it costs anywhere from 250-300 dollars but it looks brand new and for the most part, its like you purchased a brand new tub for a fraction of the amount.
if you dont have anyone, i can recommend this company I know.
good luck,
